REEDS SPRING SCHOOL SITE
REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator
STATUS: Part-Time
SALARY RANGE: $7.30 - 8.00 Hourly
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plan, facilitate, supervise and evaluate activities provided for members involved in School Site Programs, including arts & crafts, homework help, fitness & recreation, field trips, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively supervise members in activities inside and/or outside of the facility.
- Ensure members’ safety and well-being at all times by adhering to Club and school policies and procedures.
- Promote and stimulate participation in programs and activities.
- Provide guidance and role-modeling to members.
- Effectively implement activities for large, drop-in activities and/or small group programs.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Maintain communication with Site Coordinator and other staff members regarding concerns/issues.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including member participation, pre- and post-testing scores, program evaluations, accident reports, etc.
- Report to work on time and fully prepared.
- Complete honest and accurate time sheets by established deadlines.
- Maintain appearance of quality of Club facilities and equipment by completing daily, weekly and/or periodic cleaning and maintenance assignments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May participate in special programs and/or events.
- May be required to meet and/or communicate directly with classroom teachers regarding member needs/accomplishments.
- Maintain high standard of customer service in dealing with members, parents, volunteers, other staff members and the general public.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. (High School diploma or GED, preferred).
- Some experience in working with children, preferably school-aged children.
- Basic knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior challenges.
- Demonstrate customer service skills.
- Ability to plan and implement programs/activities for youth.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid Missouri State Drivers License, if operating Club vehicles.

LAKE TANEYCOMO ELKS UNIT
TITLE: Program Assistant - Forsyth Unit
REPORTS TO: Program Director
STATUS: Part-Time
SALARY RANGE: $7.30 - 8.00 Hourly
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plan, facilitate, supervise and evaluate activities provided for members involved in Power Hour programs, including enrichment activities, homework help, high-yield learning activities, educational field trips, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively supervise members in activities inside and/or outside of the facility.
- Ensure members’ safety and well-being at all times by adhering to Club and school policies and procedures.
- Record and track member participation points and attendance for educational programs.
- Promote and stimulate participation in programs and activities.
- Provide guidance and role-modeling to members.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Maintain communication with Program Director and other staff members regarding concerns/issues.
- Communicate directly with classroom teachers for the purpose of collecting homework folder information for all grade levels.
- Assist Program Director with the collection and analysis of grade cards/testing data.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including member participation, pre- and post-testing scores, program evaluations, accident reports, etc.
- Report to work on time and fully prepared.
- Complete honest and accurate time sheets by established deadlines.
- Maintain appearance of Club facilities and equipment by completing daily, weekly and/or periodic cleaning and maintenance assignments.

TITLE: Kitchen Coordinator/Cook - Forsyth Unit
REPORTS TO: Unit Director
STATUS: Part-Time
SALARY RANGE: $8.00 - 9.40 Hourly
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To prepare daily meals and/or snacks for Club members, using nutritional guidelines provided by the State of Missouri, USDA or other related entities. Kitchen Coordinators are responsible for and documentation regarding meal preparation and/or food supply inventories and are required to keep the kitchen facilities clean and organized in accordance with state and local health department requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food Preparation and Service
- Plan healthy meals for members within the guidelines of the Club’s current food program (CACFP, Kids Café, etc.).
- Control Unit food and dietary supply expenditures within approved budget.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during food preparation and service times.
Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain kitchen and cafeteria to health and sanitation codes.
- Ensure that appearance of kitchen and cafeteria meet Club expectations and that all equipment is working properly.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Unit Director as soon as possible.
- Ensure strict supervision of the use of cleaning and maintenance supplies by youth and/or volunteers.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain data and provide reports on meal preparation and meals served in accordance with the Club’s current food program guidelines.
- Ensure that all documentation and receipts regarding the food program are turned in on time and reflects accurate information.
Positive Interaction with Youth and Staff
- Actively supervise members in kitchen and cafeteria area.
- Ensure members safety and well-being at all times by adhering to Club’s policies and procedures and enforcing behavioral expectations.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Maintain communication with supervisor regarding concerns/issues.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May participate in special programs and/or events.
- May be required to drive Club van and/or bus. (Club may provide the cost for acquiring a Class E, CDL or other specialized operator’s license as required).
- Maintain high standard of customer service in dealing with members, parents, volunteers, other staff members and the general public.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
- May be issued keys for the facility and be charged with the responsible use of them.
- May be required to supervise adult and youth volunteers.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma and/or GED.
- A minimum of two years working in food preparation, experience with state food program requirements preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid Missouri State Drivers License. (Club may provide the cost for acquiring a Class B CDL or other specialized operator’s license as required).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
